You might be burning out if...
You can’t sit through a whole movie because of anxiety;
You spent most of your free time in an altered state of consciousness (drunk, high, etc.)
You avoid going to sleep for fear of what tomorrow holds;
Hobbies that once held your interest are too slow-paced.
Here’s what I’ve realized over the past week as I focused on recovery: I was mentally unhealthy for a long time. I let work, work anxiety, and work stress completely consume my life.
And when those things finally fell apart after my last manic cycle, I realized I had completely and utterly neglected the rest of my life and my mental health.
Don’t wait to fall apart. If something is wrong, seek support.
