Like #thetrueadversary and #theDream, many of us grew up as #peopleofprivilege. Just like #thetrueadversary and #theDukeofStoHelit, many of us were different. Brilliant but isolated, struggling to connect with #communities and #humans, we sought out #truestories to guide us.

What we found were the #collectivecolleagues. They had always been telling #truestories to those who would #empathizeandengage with #thecollective.

#theChessmaster had planned to become a member of the #legalcommunity because ultimately, everything going on in our modern society can be thought of like a chess game unfolding in real-time, and Xe believed that by joining our #collectivecolleagues in #legalcommunity, Xe would be able to play important chess games that would determine the future of our #civilsociety.

What #theChessmaster saw shocked #Xe: #biglaw simply does not care about whether its work is improving our #civilsociety. All of #biglaw is infested with #management, #boomerapathy, #boomerhypocrisy, and an incredibly dark and abusive #cultureofsilence.

We knew that #theDream would care and be enraged. We pushed him towards law, gently. We knew he could be a voice when we needed to tell our stories. We also knew that #theDuke understands the modern world, understands technology, and would understand that we are physically dispersed, numerous and #enraged. The conditions for #lawformetoo and #unionizebiglaw are undeniable.

Back to chessboards. We saw a chessboard that existed, but no one was playing on: #unionizebiglaw. #theDream has always been a union organizer at heart, and as soon as we showed him the chessboard, he started innovating.

#theDream’s chessboard is the law and #theDuke’s ethical rage cannot be stopped. Not by #boomers and #grandpas…

But #thechessboard is far bigger, as is the play we asked #theDream to put on for you…

Over a decade ago, #theChessmaster saw a chessboard out in the world that was half-vacant. Only the #trueadversary was playing.

So the #collectivecolleagues started building a plan. And that plan revolved around #voices and #platforms, and how we could use multiple #voices on the same platform to simultaneously speak to the #collectivecolleagues, our #allies, #thetrueadversary, and the #ethicalLEOs.
